Ferrari P80/C, the best of the 488 Chassis?

Ferrari have blessed us with a new one of one track only car. The P80/C.

It's based off of a Ferrari 488 GT3 racing car so that it has a wheelbase that's 50mm longer than that of the road car to offer "more creative freedom" but it has obviously had major styling changes from the restricted GT3 race car.

The new P80/C based off the Ferrari 488 GT3 race car.

Unfortunately, no performance figures have been released yet but we can assume that it uses an unrestricted version of the GT3 car's 3.9 Litre Twin Turbo V8 which, in the road car (488GTB), makes 661hp and in the 488 Pista makes 710hp.

The aerodynamics are loosely based off of the GT3 car but have been reworked due to the lack of rules and regulations which makes the car 5% more efficient than the race car it's based on.

One of the main changes is one that you can't see and it is one of Ferrari's favourite things to exploit- underbody aero. They've changed up the underbody aero to add to the extra efficiency and downforce as well as adding the massive rear wing.

The interior is much the same as the 488 GT3 car with the integrated rollcage but some of the dashboard has been redesigned for some more 'lifestyle' comfiness, also there are carbon fibre door panels now which is a nice touch.

It's taken 4 years to produce, giving it the longest development time of any Ferrari on-off that's been produced. The price also hasn't been revealed but we can guess that it'll be over £500,000 as the general 488 GT3 car goes for around £455,000.

The rear is questionably more intense than the front with slim lights and a giant wing.
